The wake boats have found their way up there and since it is a smaller more narrow area I think it is way worse than being on the main lake. What was the deciding factor for me to leave was while I was looking at the live scope screen The waves were making me sea sick. I was in a deep v aluminum boat. And the nose of my boat would go several feet in the air to the tip of the boat was in the water. With water crashing over top of my trolling motor. I drive a 16.5 foot Lund. I know the feeling.

Lake Erie is what it felt like out there this morning. Boat damage crossing Lake Erie this past week in the Super Tournament. Nitro. Zero damage Bass Cat. Zero damage Phoenix Zero damage Skeeter cracked cap Ranger. Main Console torn out, Passenger seat broken free and lost, Driver seat broken out when driver was in it, Nose cap broken and trolling motor flipped back into the boat. One of the local Ranger Pro's told me today that it has taken Johnny but a few years to totally destroy what it took Forrest Wood a lifetime to build. So Nitro is now better than Ranger? bobby b. 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

I get a bunch of older ones in here for various repairs, and I gotta say...they are all holding up very well. I sure wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I was in the market for another bass boat. Me too. seems unfair to say that one boat made by Johnny is good and another is that bad. But I’ve been wrong before. There are a lot of guys so eager to cut down Johnny. IMO Johnny Morris isn't responsible for degrading Rangers, Rangers began degrading quite some time before the company sold. In fiberglass boats, corners (90° corners) provide rigidness. When they went to the more rounded profile they lost alot of their their structural integrity. The extended transom design was also detrimental to the structural integrity of the hull. Ranger boats like this one are what made the company what it WAS. You can't totally redesign that and slap a Ranger decal on it....and expect it to just remain awesome because it is a "Ranger". That ain't the way it works. Fiberglass construction has RULES, and those rules don't change when you put a decal on it. Mitch f, MGP and magicwormman 3
jdmidwest Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I have had all Trackers and my fishing buddy has Tracker and Nitro. All good. Only complaints are customer service after the sale and the Merc misc issues that seem to plague the powertrains. Seen a few of those bad ones on the market. They always seem to put a good trailer under them. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. The transom on my '85 350V is rock solid. 😊 Not even a hint of a stress crack anywhere.
