Well it was a pretty awesome night in the books.  Blaken broke 20in, and I got another 1 fish guarantee with a first timer I brought down with me.  His first daytime taney trout was a doozy of a rainbow and his first nighttime Taney trout was a 20in bow up bythe Dam before we met up with the rest of the gang.

Seth and his buddy met us at Lilleys and we boated all the way up to the cable. 

Fishing started off slow for our boat, but then started getting stupid with tons of doubles and lots of hookups as we worked our way down to the root wad. 

Right at 1AM they blew the horn and that really seemed to wake them up.  Both boats were over 50 fish between all of us.

That was a blast! Will definitely be making it a point to get down and do this more often. Hopefully that big brown sea monster will grace me with its presence one of these days. It’s amazing how trout go from fickle little weenies to bait crushing demons after the sun goes down.
