It sure does seem that clinics and such have something to gain by escalating Covid numbers.  I doubt that they are being directly paid for a positive test result....but there's something going on.

I'm not sure how but generally I would think a dead patient is the hardest one to collect on. Unless the gov. in this case is paying out to cover costs and then its likely going to mega hospitals with ICU capacity, ect. 

 

Local clinics likely aren't making much more than they would on a head cold. I know a couple people who have tested positive. In every case, their regular clinic/doctor said stay away, don't come here, go to health dept. or if serious go to ER. No script, nothing, just sit at home, rest, hydrate, and let your body do its thing until you cannot breath.

They get Covid payments just like we got stimulus checks...  More if they get put on a vent.

I figured as much.   The whole stupid thing is a scam.   If it all settles down immediately after the election then you'll know for sure.  And I hope people don't forget this BS.    I know I won't.

Looks like New York picked up $5 billion for covid patients. Wonder how much they earned just from the Nursing home cases.

              At the clinic where Mrs. BilletHead works. 9 out of 10 times it is a telemed zoom or facetime visit and the patent is told to go to the hospital for a test if they have the symptoms. If they do a walk in and have symptoms at the door they go to an isolation room and the ones that go in to treat garb up in all kinds of personal protective equipment.  Tests can be given by the clinic but faster turn around results from hospital. THE CLINIC gets no government subsidies. Way back when the clinic and local hospital did get some moneys to buy supplies for personal protective equipment.
