oghfm Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Hooked at around 9 am on fire tiger crank bait, released at around 11 a.m. Official scale said 201.3 but allowed 6 for overalls, boots and jacket. Not a legal catch, actually snagged him, in the left index digit, wife identified him as a red nosed pouter, and being a Missouri Master Naturalist, she should know. Could be a record for Stockton Lake but I doubt it for Missouri. Did tag him with a current Tetanus booster. Personal worst. BilletHead, YakAttack, Old dog 417 and 10 others 2 11
Dutch Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 I caught one similar to that down at Bull Shoals on a Zara spook a few years ago. Daryk Campbell Sr, Targa98 and Heretolearn 1 2

ColdWaterFshr Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 Stockton is haunted. Paul Dallas story on Stockton. 1985 Brand new clear Zara Spook near point 13. long cast at dawn by the timber. Heron comes and picks it up. Drag sings a tune and unspools 260 yards of fresh Trilene. Pocket knife injury in the process of trying to cut the line.

Kinda suspicious, that appears to be a kayak on a very clear freshwater stream, which would be congruous w/ your location in SE Mo, and further examination of the included kneecap kinda lends one to thinking thou might have been smuggling walnuts instead of actually fishing!! Just saying. BilletHead 1

3DHUSKER Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Many years ago my 10 year old son hooked a 230 pounder on a rattle trap. Got him in the side of the head making a what he called a zip code cast. Sure was a bleeder. Man that still hurts thinking about it. oghfm and snagged in outlet 3 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 My dad got it in the lips from his buddy’s kid. Two trebles and the kid kept jerking the rod because he never looked back to see what he was snagged on. My dad said he almost passed out😂 oghfm, Terrierman, straw hat and 2 others 1 2 2
