We're playing Thanksgiving by ear. Have invites out to immediate family for here, but we'll make a final call closer to the date based on what we know then. It certainly won't be 20-30 folks like the good old days. Same with Christmas Eve at this point.

Get out and spend some time in normal land, its not so bad.  Stay away from the cities that promote the Covid and you will do fine.  There are those out in the real world that will welcome you.

Its bad if you have underlying conditions or at risk.  If you are normal and healthy, there is nothing to worry about.  Turn off the TV and pretend you are off the grid.

Unfortunately, normal land is now having a whole pile of people infected AND hospitalized.  And what do you do if you don't think you yourself are at risk, but have somebody in your house who is?

My prediction:. 

                           Once this upcoming election is over, and the results are "in the books",  this entire COVID panic will steadily begin to fade away.    By Black Friday all of it will have been forgotten.

I got that same combo ~3 weeks ago. Flu shot first, then Shingrix about an inch away in the same arm. Nausea followed, couldn't eat anything for ~24hrs. Never threw up, just knew if I ate anything I would. Fortunately it was Saturday or I'd have missed a day of work. First reaction I ever had to a vaccine. Really looking forward to the follow-up shot... 🤢

My first shingles shot didn't bother me. Second one gave me cold-like symptoms -- achy, tired. Only lasted about a day. Way better than shingles.

That is my situation.  I'm relatively healthy as I can be I think, or at least according to my doctor,  My wife on the other hand has a plethora of issues ranging from autoimmune issues to asthma... She gets it and I'm afraid she's not going to fare well.

I got the shingrix shots last year with no issues at all.  Arm was a little sore.  But I think that from the mega sets of 80 pound curls I was doing later that day....😂
