When I was in high school in Oklahoma most student trucks in the parking lot outside of the football stadium had guns in the racks. Those trucks sat out there everyday while we were practicing and most of them had the windows down. Nobody thought anything about it.

Same thing here and we would dove hunt on way home from school. We were raised different back then. Some are still raised that way but those that were not have messed it up for all. This has snowballed and it is getting bad worse.

Yep, we actually stood in the backs of our trucks with a hand thrower, and a shotgun, and shot clay pigeons in the highschool parking lot after all the buses had left.  Along with the wood-shop teacher and janitor.  Try that today and they'd fill the county jail cells.

The greatest thing (at the time) about our school though.....The metal-shop teacher sold weed 😅 (only on weekends though).

We used to catch those frequently on the middle fork and elk fork of the Salt river.   Called them Mudpuppy's.

Looks like they have exposed gills. If so they are mudpuppies.
