Terrierman Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 My Thermos thermos is a wide mouth unit too. Unmarked as to origin. I've got an old unmarked Kelly Green thermos that I won at a DU banquet back in the 1800's. It's beat to hell - especially the cup - and any logo that might have been there when it was new is gone. But it still works good too. Don't currently own anything Stanley that I know of. Share the tool opinion so just don't buy them. Fun thread MoPanfisher! Johnsfolly and BilletHead 2
slothman Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 I got one of the new Stanley thermoses and was quite disappointed in how long, or should I say how short, a time my beverage stayed warm. After my grandpa died, I got his old Stanley thermos. Now that thing will keep something piping hot all blessed day and then some. I finally just disposed of my new one and kept the old one from grandpa. It works so much better. Johnsfolly, BilletHead and Daryk Campbell Sr 3
fishinwrench Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Everybody Hates Walmart, but those *Ozark Trail* coolers and thermos's are darn good stuff. You can't beat the value of that stuff anywhere. Honestly, everything marked "Ozark Trail" is truly good stuff for the price. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Gavin Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 You can buy a new in box old green 1970’s model for about $25 TYD. Today’s culture has no idea about what you can do with a thermos bottle. Hot cup of soup, after sitting in the woods, looking at no deer with my dad. Jack Carny(sp) Saturday AM show on the way to/from home. Used to play old radio comedies. Amos & Andy, Laurel & Hardy, Jack Benny. Good times! BTW, a blue and white folding chairs are not a good deer hide. Was what we had, and we killed deer from them, Daryk Campbell Sr, Johnsfolly, Terrierman and 2 others 5

Was my dads and as long as I can remember he used it. Anyone seen a yellow one? Works to this day great. Non insulated cup, warmed your hands as you drank from it. Cork stopper but sometimes hard to get correct size. I found a silicone one. Made by landers, Frary and Clark in new Haven Britain, Conn. Did some research it will date between 1953 and 1965 when Aladdin took over and moved the manufacturing to Nashville Tennessee . I cherish this thing. I see my dad every time I look at it. I have been through multiple of the green ones. Some work , some don't. This wide mouth one worked real good and I carried many of soups and stews to work in it. One of the made in Tennessee ones. The outer part of the lid, cup was metal. It rusted off and I wrapped electrical tape around it. Made in USA is the best! Awesome, that old one is like the old one my dad had, but I don't remember it being yellow, mostly rust, dirt and grease. Daryk Campbell Sr and BilletHead 2

Even on I found at the lake, still had some OLD coffee in it, little cleaning up and viola another coffee cup. The Screw top tumbler I carry with me every day now is an Ozark Trail. I do have a couple Stanley coffee mugs, that are spill proof, they did great for a while, but one of them decided it didn't want to keep coffee hot anymore.

I can’t confirm, but I’ve heard that the Ozark trail tumblers are made in the same factory as the Yetis and just get a different label. It would make total sense if that were true.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I have a Mossy Oak big cup and that thing works as good as the yetti.
