Dutch Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 The bite was slow. I tried skaky, jigs, tubes, and Ned without so much as a nudge. I drug out an Arig and did 5 hours of chunk and wind. I had 5 bites and boated all of them. Only 3 were keepers but they were nice ones. nomolites, cheesemaster, magicwormman and 13 others 16
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Nice, how heavy is that a-rig, looks like a big hunk of lead on the nose

The head is fiberglass. The jigs are 1/8 oz football heads on 4/0 hooks with weedguard for Table Rock and the baits are hand poured flukes. So it really isn’t all that heavy but 5 hours chunking it wore me slick. dtrs5kprs, big c, magicwormman and 4 others 7
Bill Babler Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Those are some super fish. Almost looks like point 10 area. Really I think the rig is the deal if you want to catch them. It's legal, it's fun, it catches big fish and they just hammer it. It will catch them wind or no wind. Currently with the sticker or cranker you have to have a chop Great job and thanks for showing us those beauties. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

I fished from Cape up the James almost all the way to Carr’s. The bite was different yesterday. It almost felt like a crappie. I plan to go back Thursday to see if there is a chance of a pattern as my normal shaky and tube presentations were shunned by those scaly critters. dtrs5kprs, magicwormman and big c 3
magicwormman Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Great job Dutch! Them are awesome! You're a better man than me, as I can't throw that bait that long.
