Old folks are like that....😁

I had early onset.  My mother let me spend the night in jail when I was sixteen because I wouldn't STFU and leave when I was told.  Then I wrote a song about it - I fought the law and the law won.  Which is how I got famous.

I didn't know you were a celebrity - I'll make sure and get your autograph next time I see you.

I wear a mask because I’m required to. I don’t really like to but I do it anyway. I still think it’s overblown.

Bottom Line for me...

99.9% of the people recover from it.

why turn the world on its head?

I know you are a nice guy Mitch and care about others. Would wearing one and saving just one life if you could be worth it?

The first instinct is to say yes, but everything needs to have sensible boundaries.

On a slightly different note:

so I get a phone call yesterday from my little daughters pre school. One kid from her class last Tuesday left school and tested positive on Saturday. I had to pick up my daughter and quarantine her for 10 days at home. We immediately took her as soon as we picked her up from school to get tested...negative.

we tell the school...doesn’t matter, still at home for 10 days. So now one of us has to forgo work for 10 days. Thank goodness my wife’s mom was available to watch the child. Imagine how many families aren’t so lucky.
so why the BS? 6 days after an exposure she checks negative and we still get a no answer.

I must have a couole dozen masks from o es my daughter made and , one s I bought.  Not counting a box of disposable ones.  Most of the time I end up wearing a disposable because it's handy, easier to breathe through and usually doesn't smell like has been dropped onto my floorboards and ridden around in the pile of trash there.  Wife says washing them is an option.  I just layer them ut and sprayed with lysol, niw they smell like garbage still but with overtones of mountain lavender.  I hate them BUT do wear one where required, if not required generally I don't.  Masks wear one or don't go to places that require you too, simple.  It may be a poor tool but also the only real tool available until vaccines are fully implemented, that and sanitize sanitize sanitize, which a BIG reason along with avoiding people  (which I highly approve of) that the flu is so low.

The quarantine is usually 14 days from exposure, usually take 4 to 5 days from exposure to test positive but most health depth are pretty strict on the quarantine time and schools simply adopt the health dept, and CDC guidelines, if for no other reason than liability.  Although also they say only quarantine if within 6 feet for 15 minutes total time unmasked, i hink that is the general rule.  My wife is a school nurse a the issue of having have someone home with them is definitely a problem.  Most younger parents are working so you end up with a grandparent who is usually in a higher risk group.

99.9% of people don’t die in tornados.

But they still take cover.
