Nothing fancy...that was the last few Umpqua 555 I think I had, size 10.  I need to reorder and will probably order the Hanak 450s as I mash the barbs on all my flies anyway...easier to remove from the back of my neck. 😉

Ha, yes!  Or like casting a wet sock!  It certainly absorbs and holds onto water.  Probably feels fairly real when the fish chomps it.

I dig the bottom ones.  A light coating of fabric paint (clear glitter) will fill in those holes and push water good.   I've done it.   👍

On the Shannon streamer?   I don't think we've caught any real impressive bass on them, but plenty of sports models.   The bass in the Little Niangua are especially fond of them.    It's one of my kids favorite flys because you get to see the bite.
