This guy was confused...Hit a D2 jig lol.

15 min before I hooked him my buddy lost a 10ish lb brown under a log. It was heartbreaking! Thought we’d get at least one big brown pic -the others were all in the 15-18” range. Oh well, this guy was a blast on 4lb test sos line.

Spring seems to be a common factor when I catch carp  when fishing for other stuff. I catch them on Bull and Norfork in the Spring on crappie jigs and smaller bass offerings. I honestly think they are hungry after not feeding much during winter and maybe it's a President binge since they don't eat much during the spawn.

I have seen groups of grass carp on the White that were huge. Some of them looked to be in the 20-30lb category. Also see them on the Spring river.
