Depends on what a person studies and stays active in.   

“Wise” means one has a high average outcome across all situations, so wisdom is what older folks typically have that younger folks lack. 

“Smart” means one does spectacularly well in a few situations.  Young bucks often know more than they need to about a couple things, but overall they are ding-a-lings.

                  Nice so in your infinite wisdom many of us here are wiser than you?  FYI I have that wisdom that you are talking about. Fall on the high side of the typical translation. Thanks again for clearing that up! You may be wise beyond your means but I trump you in age big time!
