Years ago working for Honeywell I had to do so work at one of the Honeywell locations in Minneapolis in the winter time.  At break time the local that smoked had to do it outside.  They would be out there at sub zero temperatures in the shirt sleeves.  When I questioned them about it, they could not understand my concern.

Well you obviously have never taken a draw  off of the frozen filtered tip of a sweet Marlboro red!!! I still have fond dreams of those days!!!  😁

I saw the first toon-pulling-kids-on-a-tube I've seen this year too yesterday.  You'd think getting wet in upper 50's water and then getting air dried in the wind would be a bit chilly, but those kids sounded like they were having fun.  Maybe they are down on vacation from Minnesota so it seems like mid-summer to them.

That will be us in FL next week. When we lived in FL we wouldn't go in the ocean until it warmed to 80+ degrees. Now we will be swimming and looking like lobsters like all the other tourists 😅

Final warning.

We arrive a week from Friday.

Bet there won't be no kiddie's out there on tubes then!

They'll be lucky to even be able to leave the house.......🧟‍♂️🌪️❄️🌩️☄️🌊🌬️

Decided to throw a quick six inches of snow on the ground here this morning just to kinda get warmed up if you know what I mean.

It's good to know a guy's still got it........💪

Yep, you've done it again - it is snowing and there is actually some accumulation.

Just a little somethin' to let y'all know that I'm thinking about ya!

For what it's worth we had at least six inches here so it's not like I exempt myself from any of these phenomenas.

We're ALL in this together

Hope the local Emergency Broadcast System is in good working order.......

I’ve never seen anything like it this early.  Both parking lots were full and most of the preseason spots above the marina had trucks and trailers in them.  I even saw one big old house boat.

Same here at Stockton lake. I live here. Of course last years wave of people was pandemic driven. This year is not quite as bad, but still way above normal.

When we pulled into Cape Fair on Monday I made a remark of Don't people work on Mondays anymore??? Before I retired in 2007 I had to work on Mondays along with the other 4 or 5 days and some 7 day weeks working.... How the times have changed....

Launched at Viola yesterday. Mine was the only rig in the lot besides a mobile dock repair guy. Last year I had to scrounge for a parking spot there.
