Quit in 2004 and have never looked back..  Quit many times before that but didn't stick to it.  Can't say it gave me more energy, but definitely gives you more time and saves a lot of money.  If you want energy get rid of most carbs in your diet.

What foods would I need to cut back on?

I actually think my energy deficit is more mental than anything.   Once I get going I'm fine..... it's just the getting started that sucks sometimes.

Maybe you need to get on some gear??   You are pretty old.

Carbs = sugar, flour (bread, crackers, deserts), rice, potatoes, fruit, beer.  Essentially eat just meat and vegetables.  If you think quitting cigs is hard wait till you try and give up carbs.

Gear?   Explain yourself.

Why should I have to change my diet that has been serving me well my whole life?   That sounds like some $#!t a doctor or biologist would say, just so they could have something to say besides "I don't know".

What other animal has to change it's diet when it reaches middle-age?

If I have to change my diet then I'm going back to tittie milk and shittin' my pants.
