I would venture to guess that if a guy were to nicely approach a land owner for permission and explain your ethics, you would be allowed to fish on his property. On the other hand, things can get out of control on a river bar 🏕 camp out. Just ask @jdmidwest

Float down any stream in MO and see the litter.

Spent last week on the Current around Van Buren.  The bottom was littered with Aluminum cans and bottles enough to make a crack head dive for them.

I made the comment on one hole to my buddy that I thought the 16oz bottles ones were floaters, I thought they were double walled.

Lots of other trash too.  Found a nice set of swim googles for the grandkid, wifey made me toss them in trask, never know what kind of filth the owner was that lost them.  They were circling the swirl hole at the town ramp.

US population keeps on growing, I'd like to think things will get better, but I'm skeptical.  

Living in Montana half the year and visiting other parts of the West frequently, I would say it depends upon the state or area.  In our part of Montana, litter is not even close to being a problem, and neither is the other shenanigans that take place routinely on creeks and rivers in MO.  Nobody gets stinking drunk on the rivers and does lewd, crude, loud, or obnoxious things.  But in Arizona, the rivers I fished were like city dumps; it was ridiculous in some places.  And so was California in the couple streams I fished there.  Oregon and Washington were pretty clean where I was.

Take out more than you brought in. 

By my standards that is "tampering with evidence".    

Report it, and let the ones who we pay to solve crimes sort it out.    They obviously need more things to investigate because they are still pulling people over for "license plate lights" just so they can sniff inside the cars.   And they are still responding to domestic disputes.    They shouldn't have time for either of those piddly things.   

Get their @$$es out there with all of their super slueth technology....and let them SOLVE THE CRIME.

I'll tell you a little story on ME.....

My parents ran several nursing homes, and they paid me to clean out a portion of one for expansion when I was a 16 year old punk.   I had a bunch of trash that I was supposed to haul to the local landfill, but since I was SO SMART I decided that I'd make more money off this deal if I didn't have to pay the landfill fee......so I dumped it (a whole half a pickup load) on a muddy trail off of a gravel road.     

3 days later the sheriff was pounding on our front door, and ol' smarter than thou WRENCH was in some hot water, Boy! 

Pill bottles with the nursing home address on them, and tire tracks that matched mine. 😳  Ahh, never thought about THAT!    

Learned myself a good old life lesson there!     If you're gonna be a shady douchebag, you'd better be a SMARTER shady douchebag than that.     Best to just NOT be a shady douchebag.

Here's one I'm sure a few here will get a chuckle out of. 😅

 

Worst symptom so far is.....You could bury my face in a steaming pile of cow poop right now.....and I wouldn't smell a thing.   🤔 

Wanna take bets on whether I live or not?   💰

Don't forget I'm a smoker..... that hedges the bet, right?

Sounds like what Russell Bliss did at Times Beach when disposing of dioxin by mixing it in asphalt and paving roads with it.
