The fact that those kinda things create such a negative reaction at sporting events is rediculous to me. Why does that piss off so many people? I couldn't care less whether they bow their head, kneel, or stand there picking their nose. I bet that nobody would even notice if they skipped playing the national anthem altogether.....and the players just came out onto the field, waved to the crowd, and immediately started playing the game. Of course THEN if someone failed to wave....or waved in the wrong direction, there'd be an uproar. 😂 In reality, if you were doing what you ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING.....then you wouldn't notice what anyone else was doing.....now would ya? But instead you've got all these PATRIOT POLICE looking around to see if anyone is not with the protocol, which is just as bad....or should be. Absolutely petty and pathetic. 🤣 Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Let say that you had an employee that you paid to send to a conference with boat and engine manufacturers and they were to represent you and your business. Once they got there they would bad mouth you about how bad you are at your job and as a person. There may not be any fact checking in their claims, but it was based upon their feelings. As a result you lose credibility and likely business based upon that lack of respect. I would assume that would piss you off. That is how I feel about some of the protests from our athletes. If you loved my business and for many years I had always done you right, and then you heard someone say something negative about me.....Would you then loose all respect for me? Or would you just assume that the person was just "one of those people".....? There's people right here on this forum that say negative things about me every chance they get, but crazy as it might seem.....my business continues to survive. 🤷♂️

Devan S. Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Didn't the women's basketball team decide as a team to not protest at the Olympics even though they do it all year in the WNBA? Guess you don't see that plastered all over the news.....not nearly as divisive I guess.

Is electing to not participate in rituals like the pledge or anthem in a "free country" really considered "protesting"? Even if you remain quiet and do nothing to interrupt others from doing whatever they want to?

I don't know....my point was ever media outlet picked up on the girl raising her fist or turning her back "protesting" but the alternate was basically ignored. To me its just a media driven frenzy.
