I started out fishing at 6 years old from my parents resort on LOZ, where we had 3 guides working for us and progressed to the Rock and Taney with Bull Shoals thrown in

Alaska fishing and guiding since 2000. I have seen some if the best in the world in KVD, Denny Brauer, and Gido Hibdon.

I don't care about AOY'S or longevity, I have never seen a guy that can find and catch fish in any format, deep, shallow, clear or muddy water, structure fishing or just open water like Wheeler.

From Texas to Canada and from Florida to California he is a guy your stupid not to choose in any tournament.

If it's swimming, he knows where it lives and what it wants to eat.

Dude is totally unreal.

On Monday's knockout round after catching either his first or second scorable, Wheeler whistled and said to the camera "we are gonna reel in some fish today boys".

And he did exactly that.

Amazing how he claimed it so early, then did just that.

Impressive!

In my opinion, you just need to try something slightly different…either in how you work the bait, a different rigging technique, or a lure they haven’t seen for a while. Or possibly a different sound or scent.

Wheeler has caught at least some of his fish today with a googans rattling Ned on a drop shot. Quite a feat in that wind. Can’t think of any fisherman better with the forward sonar.
