This topic got me thinking, i know i have had quite a few doubles in the past few years but in review it was more that i had remembered.

a few of my favorites were the white with the LM (5.02lb) and the smallie/spot on the spook, that smallie went 4.97lb.

The rig gets lots of doubles, and it doesn't just get thrown in the winter......it is a pain to throw and can say that rod hasnt left the basement this year.

I would have had to have had a picture !

Unfortunately the fry started spilling out of it's mouth before we realized what was going on.

The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check

Cool pics thanks. You all remember when the Front Runner was the deal. Lots of doubles on that and a spook.  I'm showing my age there. I'll have to look and see if I still have any.

I still have some. I think I still have some in the packages on the pegboard in my garage too.

Any idea why that front runner fell off and isn't utilized more?

Seems like a great idea, especially in a spotted bass fishery.

I have noticed a few running a fluke off the rear, anyone try that trick?

That double fluke "Donkey Rig" works great.  I still have yet to catch a double on it but have caught fish with it.

I really think the wake baits kind of blew it up. At one time especially when the front runner was going strong all we had was temperamental Redfins.

Now, there are a multitude of throw it out reel it in baits that catch the tar out of them that are super simple to use and you don't have to be able to walk the dog.

White bass totally loved that front runner and if you had a multiple hooked bait plus the Runner, you had an emergency room visit in your near future.
