MOPanfisher Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Not having followed the story much except right after it happened I am actually surprised that prosecutor went ahead with criminal charges. No doubt the actions of both individuals warrant it and wouldn't be surprised if it gets pleaded down to lesser charges. You know that armored and prop people throughout the industry have made some changes to the way they do things. Most should have been in place already. Like absolutely no zero none live ammo on a movie set. It was all very tragic, but negligence and poor control plus violation of some MAJOR gun safety rules happened came together.
ollie Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Been following this one and absolutely that is what should have happened with the charges. Can't remember the actor in the interview I read, but they said THEY always check the gun themselves before ever pointing or discharging it. They believed since they were the last one handling the weapon, they should take responsibility for the outcome. This was someone who had done several action movies in the past. Like someone else has already said, several contributing factors made this happen, but we all know the person with the weapon in their hand is the responsible one. They have the final say so before that trigger is pulled. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 20, 2023 Root Admin Posted January 20, 2023 Can you image picking up a gun, being told it was empty, pointing and shooting it at someone? Gives me chills thinking about it. But they (actors that shoot at people) do it all the time without thinking about it. Assume - it's gets all of in trouble alot! Flysmallie 1

All of the most popular movies have to include scenes of people getting shot, or killed in some drastic fashion. This is what it takes to entertain people. Society is sick ! 🙄
jdmidwest Posted April 22, 2023 Author Posted April 22, 2023 And the turd behind the trigger walks off scott free... https://www.kfvs12.com/2023/04/21/manslaughter-charge-against-alec-baldwin-will-be-dismissed/ BilletHead 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S.
