In the garage... And I'm not going out there either. Who's with me for global warming??😂 dtrs5kprs, vernon, fshndoug and 1 other 2 2

War Eagle is the latest example. Not a PRADCO fan whatsoever. Correct. Champ188 1
Royal Blue Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 I rarely throw a jerkbait that doesn't get down deeper. I seem to get a lot more bites on one that gets down to that 8-10 foot range. That leaves me tossing the MB 110+1 A LOT. It just catches em. I have a box full of the regular ones and McSticks, Pointers, Rogues, etc...but I always go with the +1. Probably a confidence thing though. dtrs5kprs and cheesemaster 2

So, the beauty of the old big rogue is it doesn't get deeper. Makes it very effective for throwing it at "stuff", and on shallower rock banks up the rivers. Maybe not the best stick for soaking in the clear water. You definitely have to weight it if you want to get it deeper than 5-6'. cheesemaster and Champ188 2
Fish24/7 Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Smithwick Rogues There might be a certain cadence and way you have to work and twitch em or they won't roll, and that special rogue roll is what triggers even more bites imo. I've yet to see any other jerkbait that has the same rolling effect and I've watched a lot of underwater demo videos and have tried other brands . I can get the old rogues to roll of course, the pro series, the perfect ten ect. But the elite 8 won't do it for me. It actually sucks imo. I've had to take a grinder to the bills just so they even wiggle. I have four and don't even use them and Ive tinkered all I want with them to try to make them roll. They won't do it. I don't use the spoonbills except for trolling walleye. I only like three brands of jerkbaits. smithwick, Rapala, Lucky Craft snagged in outlet 3, Johnsfolly and dtrs5kprs 3

And you can make it flash without moving it much, once you figure it out.
