oneshot
I sleep with several firearms. Have always said it doesn’t matter who darkens my bedroom door they are going to regret it. Well most time I back the police but I seen a video of No Knock Warrant . Police go in unannounced. Guy in bed not the one they are after has a pistol sticking out of the covers not pointed at the police. They shot him. He had CCW and the Pistol was legal. oneshot

What has happened in your life that makes you worry about someone just busting into your house while you're asleep and trying to harm you? Paranoia= Self Destroyer ! I have a dog laying next to my bed that looses his everloving mind if so much as a possum tip-toes through the yard. I promise you that everyone in the house will be wide awake way before the need to grab a shotgun arises. 🙄 Huntingducks117, Deadstream and Terrierman
fshndoug
Wrench you would have to fix yourself a cup of coffee first before you shot someone. BilletHead and Terrierman

I'm not shooting nobody. I don't wanna bloody mess to clean up. And the lawyer fees plus the lost time it would take to defend myself afterwards are likely to be more than it would cost to replace whatever they stole. So if you can get past the dog and still whip my @$$ then you can just have it. Whatever it is, is probably insured. I've seen how this "defending your property" crap works in this area. 🙄 Terrierman

Heck it would be easier if they just asked instead of breaking in. I'd save them the hassle...😂 Terrierman and fishinwrench 1

Terrierman
As long as they're satisfied with stuff, I'm 100% there. Not shooting anybody over stuff. The problem is, once someone comes through your door uninvited, how do you know what's to come? snagged in outlet 3 and gotmuddy

If you're concerned about some psycho just randomly busting in and immediately opening fire, then you need a good dog babysitting you, so that you (and they) can meet them on the porch before they can even get to the door. Probably you're right. As long as that conversation happens outside, we're good. On the other hand, though rare, homes have been broken into with bad results. My whole point is how do you know? Don't think there IS a way to tell the future, as much as we would like to think we know what's going to happen. With anything, not just this subject. 2. Just one dog? Wouldn't seven be better? 3. Anybody that comes in my house uninvited while I am there has kicked in a locked door. That's not a great start to a friendly relationship. Gavin
The dog only helps against strangers. The folks most likely to kill you in your sleep....probably live with you. fishinwrench
