Finished the job this afternoon.  The installer that owns the lot the tree is on fashioned a stand out of pallet lumber and we put up a few scented boxes.  We will see how they do.

                 Man I like freebees!

Working on a 20 frame Layens  hive right now.  Buddy from Herman is coming today for a visit and in the morning taking two new colonies in swarm traps back to Herman for to be rehomed into his empty hives.

Alrighty you Bee People...... What do you know about this stuff? IMG_20220519_205800664.jpg

56.00 for this little jar of it.    😳

It's supposed to help heal my buggered up lip.     I'm on day 3 of it, and it's doing "something", I can tell.     Really draws your skin up tight (might be a miracle drug for saggy boobs and wrinkles.... SERIOUSLY).

So what's your opinion?  Snake oil, or should I keep slathering it on ?

Sure tastes a hell of a lot better than antibiotic cream !

I'm trying everything I can think of, or find out about.

What the heck can a person do (short of cosmetic surgery) about a wound that refuses to completely heal?    Doesn't hurt, or keep me from doing anything I wanna do.....just makes me a bit less attractive......which in my case, is no great loss. 🙄

Dunno if it will work in your case, but I used to get some serious lip chap from sunburns that led to bleeding.  Applying a Styptic pencil to the spot would get it to stop bleeding and it would heal.  The final solution was to go to a dermatologist and get a layer of skin burned off and that fixed it for good.

This isn't really beekeeping but it's definitely related, so here goes.  I've got a small orchard.  Three apple trees, two peach trees, a pear, a plum and a cherry.  Has never produced like it should have.  I let the trees grow and did some ineffective minor pruning a couple of times.  They got seriously pruned in January. They Look better.  I would really like to see something positive out there.  Everything there is supposed to be self pollinating or near a pollinator.  I wonder if some bees would help.  To the point I will gladly pay one of you bee keeper types to bring over a hive or two next spring.  It's a good place, very rural mostly pasture nearby.  Neighbor has fruit trees too.  Lots of clover in the orchard and the fence rows and an unmowed area that borders the orchard have everything you would expect growing in them.  There's no row crop agriculture anywhere near.  Don't think bees would be endangered here at all.

Any interest from anyone?

BTW I'm about five miles NE of Ozark fairly close to Linden.

Wish I was closer. Would not cost you a thing Rick either. I have a crabapple in the yard. When it blooms it is a loud place when you are under it when the bees are on it. It has a bumper crop this year.

I do have a suggestion though/ Give your county extension office a call. There are bee keeping clubs all over. I bet one or more of the members would love to put a hive on your place.

My buddy from Herman and his wife came to BilletHeadVille yesterday. Spent the night with us and took home two swarm traps full of bees back home with them this morning. He has not had much luck trapping any up there. this may throw a wrench into the high class rural Herman bees up there.  My hillbilly wild feral strains mixing with the wine vinyard pollinators. :)
