OK, I posted that in jest, but  the principle works. Back when I was prone to such things, I taped some handles and a hood to a 5' stick of 6" round duct. 5' let you be secure in a seat or on your knees. The key was shutting off all external light, hence the hood. Used it to retrieve a rod once, saw some fish, it works. Then again, so do oars...

I was around  Cambpell Point yesterday and both Campbell Point and Big Indian today. Water clarity was easily 6ft or more but does have some stain to it. There was quite a bit of wind and rain so I am not sure how far visibility beyond 6ft. Water temp yesterday was 56-57 and today was 54-56.

They use them quite a bit up north.

Had to laugh, was fast forwarding through MLF earlier, and the tease for next week shows Jeff Sprague using one on smallmouth. Tune in, lol.
