oneshot Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I know oneshot guy posting again. Know a guy just starting out contracting. The guy does know his stuff. He has a Job completely redoing a house. The guy that hired him said he felt he was over charging him and run him off. Seems the guy tried finding another contractor then thought maybe he would do it himself. Well he called the original contractor. Begging him to come back. Like I told my wife with price of material and labor anymore construction is going to cost. oneshot Daryk Campbell Sr 1

oneshot Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 Well the guy has to wait now. He is moving up here from Florida. oneshot
fishinwrench Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Maybe he needs to price some construction in Florida......for comparison. That'll likely calm him down. dan hufferd 1
MOPanfisher Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I have a buddy who runs multiple crews and usually 3 to 5 projects going at any one time. Guys that decide you are over charging them and break off the work are the bane of most good carpenters. Like you noted they go to the back of the line and may well get told to pound sand if they aren't polite about it.

I don't know about that, never been there , but the son that lived there for about twenty years and moved back to Mo last year swears that every thing from living expenses, to electric, to taxes costs more here.
Deadstream Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Bottom line. If you girl dog and run me off a job I will never be back. If its my fault I will fix it and make it right. Granddad told me when I was young never work for a man that cusses you. Never. Told everybody I worked for that, and NEVER cussed anybody that worked for me. I have cussed a fishing friend a few times... Really censors? pfft.

People on the phone to female office staff are the worst. Face to face to a man hardly ever happens, but when it does, it never works out well for the person doing the cussing. At least in my experience. snagged in outlet 3 1
oneshot Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 What is bad boss was late getting there. Sent the crew ahead and the guy told them he wouldn't let them in. Funny guy went to Lowes asking how to do stuff found it was too hard. oneshot

We are hella productive, and customers always leave happy. Choice of vocabulary isn't a perequisite of a successful workplace.
