5/29 trip report

[snagged in outlet 3]

Slept in a little.   First cast at 6 am.   No fog and dead calm.  Bite not as good as the other days.   Still managed a bunch.  No rainbows.   Bites were half hearted and had a 4 get off at the boat.  Wasn’t long till the Spanish Armada showed up.   
I guess nobody stayed home to watch Jimmy Swagert this morning.   Heathens!!!😆.   Here’s a couple photos for @Johnsfolly

The Harris boys said they were chasing the sculpin style jerk bait this morning pretty good.

Bigger than usual boats!    I saw a center console that had to be 30’ long.    Like an ocean bay boat

I saw him last year, he said he lives on the lake.  Was a really nice guy although he about swamped 30 boats, he seemed oblivious but was so nice it was hard to be mad at him.

Between him and the guides in those big center consoles plowing down the middle of the lake it was ridiculous.

Exactly why I quit coming this weekend.  But I'm still jealous your there and I'm not Pete awesome browns by the way, man they are so thick and healthy. Future bodes well for them no doubt.  Had a friend catch an incredibly thick beautiful rainbow the other day and it was no where near the trophy area, I'm talking miles away and it was almost 23 inches and super thick. The whole fishery is in amazing shape. Keep up the good work and keep posting pics buddy.

Thanks for the pics and reports Pete,  I figured with the nice weather it would be a busy weekend.  Hope you can get a few more donkeys in the boat.

We drove home yesterday.   Spent a quiet week then came back yesterday to avoid the traffic today.
