snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 10, 2022 Author Posted June 10, 2022 Switched tackle bags to look for bass. I couldn’t get out until the rain quit. I was sitting in meetings just jonesing to be out fishing while it was rainy and overcast. I got to my first spot and caught a couple like this one. They were busting minnows when I got there. Then the sun popped out and the wind died. The next 3 hours were a sightseeing tour. Needed some 6 pound flouro so I stopped at bass pro. The only kind they had bass pro excel. The cheapest flouro on the shelf. 9.99 for 200 yards but I need it bad. I’ll be out early tomorrow. Quillback, Greasy B, Johnsfolly and 1 other 4
Dutch Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 I’ve used some of that. It wasn’t bad. I’ve had trouble with 6# fluorocarbon rotting so I switched to Yozuri hybrid. I’ve been using it for a over year and just changed three setups out yesterday. I bought it from Amazon. snagged in outlet 3 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 11, 2022 Author Posted June 11, 2022 I got up At 3:45 this morning. Knowing that as soon as the sun hit the water the bite would slow substantially. It was dark when I launched the boat and I couldn’t see how deep the trailer was in the water. I hit my brown trout honey hole without a bite. After that I decided to go for numbers. And man they where biting cast after cast for the first hour. Then it slowed to good fishing. Nice 15” plus rainbows. I shook them off as fast as I could. Took pictures of two of them. I didn’t clear my scale so that 17” fish on the board weighed right at two pounds. By 9:30 I was back at the ramp to retie bates and put new line on one of my rods. I’ll be back out early tomorrow too. nomolites, Greasy B, JestersHK and 4 others 7
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 Did the same thing as yesterday but stayed out till 10 am. Not as good as yesterday but still a lot of fun. I’m staying another week but I have to work so I probably won’t get out unless we get some cloud cover or rain in the afternoon. Johnsfolly and trythisonemv 2

I forgot to add, that you need to take off 2 to 3/10ths of a pound for the silicone portion of my net that I can’t clear when the fish is in it. Thats a good idea weighing them in the net, i never weigh them cause I dont want too overhandle them. Try to get them back in the water asap. Im horrible about taking pics as well just want to get them released. snagged in outlet 3 1

I net them and remove the hook while they are in the net in the water. Then a quick weight in the net and either let em go or a quick pic on the board and slide them right back in. I keep my phone on the seat with the double dap feature to quickly turn on the camera with two taps. Johnsfolly 1

My shots of pics usually involve a buddy scaling them, then me slapping them on the side of the boat against the ruler and pinching the fins, squeezing the mouth shut, gaining ever spec of an inch. Then the hero shot after I load the camera app for him. Sometimes we even shift for better lighting. They are fish.
