JestersHK Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 So semi successful day on the Pan early this morning. Kierstin my oldest got her first Frying pan brownie, and we picked up a few more after that on jigs and nymphs. Around 930 we hit the trail head to hike up to the little creek. It wasn't quite a death March but there was some threats and grumbling as it's a pretty steep trail in certain spots. The bad part came when it was all brushed in and super thick at the top... we could of used a machete to get to the water in some spots 😆 There were also only about 1/3 the amount of trout as last time too and they were tiny but eager to bite. We only got 3 in our hands as they kept coming off the bad head, but they are still pretty little western slope cutts. Finally made it into Estes Park tonight, then we're driving home tomorrow... or adventure is almost over but it has been an amazing time out west. Quillback, nomolites, Johnsfolly and 1 other 4

JestersHK Posted August 2, 2022 Author Posted August 2, 2022 Whew... made it home around 2AM after leaving from Estes yesterday. Have about 600 work emails I'm going through now... Thanks for coming along on the journey with me but for now back to reality. We did make a stop in Golden CO. If you have never been to the Spyderco store there you should check it out. I carried cheap knives for many years before finding my way to Spyders. They are a fantastic US patriotic company and make some darn nice knives too. Wife made me pick up this new limited run PITS folder. We're doing a big picture dump so I'll see if I find any other cool pics.
