Should be a good trip. We have low wadeable water and lots of willing trout.

Have fun and say hello the Gary and Paula.

Ladybear and Paula were talking Monday trying to make a plan.  How long you all staying Rick?  We might get down Friday IF the stars align.....

Well we had a good time.  In the cottage.  Wednesday was fog and rain all day, finally quit around 4:00.  Walked the dogs down to the ramp and saw a boat coming in.  A guide and two sports.  They said they had been out all day in the rain since 6:30.  Caught two browns and three rainbows if they were telling me the truth.  Thursday it was cold and WINDY.  White capping in front of the place in the morning.  Way too windy to fish a jig at all and just too windy to enjoy fishing especially alone.  So the cover never came off the boat while we were at the river.  Did not see one boat or one fisherman anywhere on the river Thursday.  Which I think confirms the wisdom of the decision to leave the cover on the boat.

We did eat well.  The first night pizza and wings from Nima's - the new owners are hanging in there if you ask me.  Thursday we went into Mountain Home and had lunch and a beer at Rapp's Barren Brewery.   Top shelf food - a short rib/portabella mushroom swiss burger and a really good - and big - chopped salad with their housemade honey mustard vinagrette.  The dressing really had a big musard bite!  Definitely liked the beer too.  I do not like bitter beer and they had several ales to choose from.  I had their 1810 cream ale.  Lovey had a salted caramel brown ale.  Just a hint of the salted caramel - it was still definitely beer, not candy.

After lunch, Lovey wanted to see Buffalo City so we did.  She was impressed with the scenery and the "quiet people" on the way down the hill to Riley's.  I think she's going to have some quiet people here fairly soon.

Sorry Eric.  Next time Amigo.

John, here are your pictures.  I believe they document the trip nicely.  We needed to be out, we were and we had a good time.  When the weather is better, I'll be back.  It really is a favorite place of mine/
