Maybe they are right it might be too heavy. Plus it is hard racking another shell in. I already have bunch of .22 shells not many Shotgun Shells. I might add I'm counting on something to pull up on like a tree if I fall. Last night I fell and couldn't get up. oneshot
MOPanfisher Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I am gonna say it is a bad idea as well, however as a connoisseur of bad ideas I would recommend a good tripod and stick to shooting squirrels with a .22. If you made 4 out of six shots one armed you would do just fine.
Ketchup Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I say just try it. Take whatever shotgun you own, carry it out into the woods and see how that trip goes. Your biggest issue is falling and shooting yourself. If you can stay upright you should be fine. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Gavin Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 It should not be an issue if you are resting and aiming it. Wing shooting would be out of the question. See how it goes.
Terrierman Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I'm sorry but I have this image in my head of oneshot dressed like Porky Pig out hunting, spinning around and a shotgun flying away while Alvin and the chipmunks have a good high pitched laugh. fshndoug and Gavin 1 1
fishinwrench Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I used to have a neighbor that was in his mid-80''s and was always doing things that he had no business doing. Rescued him from the roof of his house once because he decided to clean his chimney.....with a garden hoe and a log chain. Had to drag him out from under the crawlspace of his house, by his heels, because he decided to re-rout a drain pipe. Got trapped under a tractor tire and the fire dept. had to save him after he replaced an axle seal in his old Case tractor. It was always something. The old dude just couldn't chill on his porch and stay out of trouble. And he'd always cuss you like a pregnant step-child the whole time you were saving him. "Sit down and shut up, Earl ! Goddammit!" BilletHead, Terrierman and fshndoug 1 1 1

JestersHK Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Get a small bull pup and run the mini shells in it. My wife has a KSG12 I bought her and it's lightweight and minimal recoil with the mini shells.
