   Pat had a cluster of Lymph nodes during her breast cancer surgery from effected breast side. They found one that did have cancer in it. Took the rest soon after that. We really have to watch that whole arm. She got an infection in that arm and since no lymph nodes in that arm to fight the infection cellulitis set in causing swelling. Some high-powered antibiotics knocked it down.

It's a double edged sword for me.  When I first started swelling,  no one heard of it, and it took a long time for any real diagnosis,  and still no treatment options other than keep the feet elevated.   I figured out the infections because I would be hospitalized with heavy  I V antibiotics after summer camps  and weekend campouts in the summer.   Rarely happened in the winter.  Bacterial infection from the lakes/rivers. I have to wear waders no matter how hot it is outside if I get into the water.  Not many are made for heavy swollen calves and feet. Now, due to so many breast cancer patients,  lymphademia and cellulitis is more common.   Doctors have more experience,  and more treatment options are available.   It's a great thing for me, but it's with great cost for others.  Double edged sword. I've been able to control it with compression stockings,  the ones elderly people have to wear.  Really thick and strong prescription style.  Hopefully I can learn some new tricks and get control back, and fit into muck boots and waders.   

 

Sorry Oneshot,  not trying to one up you.   I do hope your condition is figured out and you stay healthy.  Just know, you're not alone.

I got lucky, my nodes were all pulled out of my neck.  I swell up when I lay down to sleep from the neck up, but all seems to drain well during the day when upright.  Double pillows or a wedge pillow helps with sleeping.

Hard to swallow in mornings, cheeks puffy.  Storms coming in with pressure changes suck.

They hade on Lasix for years and depleted bunch of stuff and Doctors kept throwing more meds. I asked my Doctor what about just doing away with salt? Well we'll try that. Dang it worked and I done away with about 20 meds.

I fell took out a Door Knob but it put me in the ER. We're thinking it might be one of the New Medications I'm on.
