I prefer it after or before beer.

I guess with all foods and drinks I prefer going for the gusto. Case in point…I could drink a 12 oz straight espresso with cream. I prefer dry aged beef which intensifies the flavor…I also like straight aged bourbon.

I drank a Rum drink in St. Louis. I liked it so much I drank it for couple years. 

Now I'm liking Bourbon.

I'm one of the whatever people.  Sometimes beer, especially at a good brewery, quality single malt scotch is always welcome,.  So is good bourbon and I can make a righteous Cuba Libre.  Once when I got off the river on a long hot day I wanted five margaritas.  And about a martini.  My house serves a good one.

So, come on over.  We'll have a drink.

I'm afraid to start shooting shots of anything these days because once you start drinking you're stuck wherever you are......and who knows when you'll need to jump in the truck and go somewhere.  Somebody could fall down the stairs, a kid could cut a hand peeling an apple.....WHO KNOWS! 🙄

The last thing I need is a court date for a DUI, and the cops around here love to just pull people over at will.   I ain't taking any chances.

It's never a good idea, regardless.   

Drinking alcohol is the worst thing a person can do to their body.  Worse than smoking tobacco or marijuana, and worse than doing hard drugs.   It's freakin' poison for Christ sake. Drop an insect or amphibian in it and it dies.

But.......it is socially acceptable, and for most people THAT is what matters most.  🤷‍♂️
