Lake O. On 4th. July

It looked like LOZ on July 4 weekend at Coffman Bend this morning.

I mean the race was on. Just about as many boats as I’ve seen making that turn.

They must have found them good up the White as I sure would not have wanted to make that run this morning at 19 degree.

Results will be interesting.

Blaukat drew out with another boater because he didn't link up with a co-angler when he signed up and they came up short on the co-angler side. He was not happy on his daily YouTube video/rant. I've been around the guy quite a bit and he's likable in person ... I just wish he'd not be such a whiner.

But he's spot-on on his stance against FFS. We share the opinion that schooled, open-water fish (as crappie are much of the year in lakes like TR where the cover is thinning by the day) are gonna get hammered until we have a numbers problem. I could care less about it anymore where tournaments are concerned ... if I fish a tournament these days, it's because I believe I can beat the scopers with my own brand of fishing. But I hate to see our crappie and especially our walleye, which for now have a nice foothold in Beaver and TR, get wiped out by meat hogs. Doesn't help that enforcement is in way short of the officers they need to uphold our laws.

Met Blaukat a couple of times at Kings Harbor Bait Shop when it was open years ago.
I like most everyone but he was pretty hard to take.
I remember when he went out the door one of the owners said she hoped that arrogant P$$$k would never come back in her shop.
He always wanted something free or at a discount.
I remember her saying for some guy that’s a pretty average fisherman he thinks he’s God’s gift.
The ladies that owned that shop and I will say it was a fantastic store. Better than any we have on the lake now, were pretty out spoken.
Beck and I have to giggle said never P!$$ off Jonie or Judy.  On top of that, those gals could flat out fish.

That’s pretty much his YouTube persona.   I “dislike” Watch it though.   Because it’s occasionally about our Missouri lakes.  I wanted to say hate watch but I don’t really hate it😂

I'll defend Randy until the cows come home.  He gets blasted for "negativity" but the grass ain't always green.   There are bonafide issues that truly need to be tended to.   And thus far he's the only one with the balls enough to stand-up and fight the fight.

If Clunn, Nixon, Vandam, ect. would be honest about their true feelings, and concerns, then things would have NEVER gotten to this point, because bygod everyone would listen to THEM.     But their pussied approach and unwillingness to upset anyone has just left the door wide open.      They wanna be LOVED, and that's all they really care about. 😮‍💨

If anything I have gained WAY MORE respect for Randy Blauket, and have lost respect for the big-timers that everyone bows down to.    They took a giant crap on the sport IMO.

I don’t think the electronic manufacturers would have pulled back on FFS development because of those guys or anyone.  They knew from the jump it would fly off the shelf.

The electronic manufacturers can do whatever they please, but BASS, MLF, NPFL ect. would never have ignored the forefathers of professional fishing.

It's actually kinda funny, because all of the guys that were saying....."oh just shut up and fish"....7 months ago......are now slowly beginning to piss & moan.   Reconsidering their position as more & more young gamers with zero fishing experience are drifting around out in the middle of the coves, and taking their money.
