@Maverickpro201 talk to your Dr. not a bunch of fish story tellers; I've heard many stories like oneshot's and I've heard of guys that lived a long time after  diagnosis without surgery. At some age it's probable that a man would die of other causes before the slow growth got him. 10 years without surgery or 10 years with surgery? Your Dr. knows a lot more bout your age and other health issues than we do. 

Apparently oneshot is the only one here that has actually done this.    The rest of us would be spectators, or speculators.

Actually in a way I wish I had not had it done.  Everyone says I'm going to die falling before Cancer would get me. 

You can have an active sex life by taking Viagra unless you are taking Hormone Shots and even Viagra don't help.  You will not have Sperm because it mixes with your urine. 

I know a guy isn't having his removed because his girlfriend don't want it messing up his sex life. 

I think I was passing Blood because another Doctor put me on the wrong Medication because I'm on Blood Thinners and then another Doctor tried putting a Scope in me didn't know I have the Valve.  So then I was having Clots.

I am at the point I would rather have a properly cooked steak.  Well ALMOST there anyway.

Truth if you take Hormone Shots, nothing works and you lose interest.

Well went to the Dr yesterday. We evaluated Petscan, Biopsy and MRI all together. 

He is recommending Radiation and some injections to slow testosterone down, because 4 areas in prostate have the C, 1 has high numbers, 2 lymph nodes may have and 1 under the bellybutton has cancer. All are below belly button . Nothing anywhere else. So the will give me a shot next week then 4 weeks later check PSA and then another shot. Then he will plant 4 gold seeds in the prostate cancers. Half way thru the 45 radiation treatments they will start radiating the lymph nodes also. He said if it was him or his father this is the route he would go. So I suppose I have to trust his experience and knowledge.  Anybody here ever study up on this crap?

Good thing is, if I want to take off for a few days while getting treated, so I can go fishing I can.

Is this something that is causing you pain/problems, or is this a "Radar Indicated Threat" that you wouldn't have even been aware of if some doctor didn't tell you about ?

PSA test in blood work had jump from 4.92 to 7.2 in a year. So they did a MRI w/contrast which show possible cancers in Prostate. Then Biopsy in prostate. Came back 4 spots cancer, 1 real bad in scoring. Then the Petscan w/contrast to see if prostate cancer had sped to other parts of the body. Which it had definitely to 1 lymph node and possibly to 2 other nodes, below bellybutton, because they lit up a little bit in the petscan w/contrast. No pain just was a alert from the bloodwork test of PSA was the indicator.
