Buddy and I are going out tomorrow. Is there a particular section we will have better luck getting on stripers right about now? I know they start running up around Memorial Day. So I’m thinking lower. But I don’t know how fast they move up.

I wasn't aware they were in there.  Interesting,  let us know if you got into them.

Makes sense. Stripers are in the river below Beaver dam. The Arkansas striper record came from there.

Edit: I love autocorrect. I almost posted an accident.

I heard someone cut one open and its stomach was full of crawdads.   Not saying they don’t eat trout but that’s what was in that one.

Buddy of mine cleaned a striper he caught in Beaver, he said it was full of dads.

Stipers are in there year round. The flat below Kelly Ford holds a bunch. Below McKee Bridge, Elephant Rocks below ROLF.. 6' deep with a slow current...probably stripers...But they don't bite often. Ask Brian Bade at Sunburst Ranch. He can tell you where they are.

I know a guy who targets the Stripers over there and he says the same thing they eat lots of crawdads. Stripers get no love. The trout people don't like them because they eat trout, now the smallmouth people won't like them because they eat what the smallmouths eat.
