Big Funerals

I use to think I would want a Big Funeral. My Dad had a Big one they shut the whole town down.

Recently lost a friend at work I was to replace him as Logistics Chief. I told my Boss there is no way I could do the Job. He said let the young guys do it you just Supervise.

Anyway my wife said there was going to be 15 Fire Trucks alone. I told her I’ve been feeling so bad with Arthritis, Allergies and all I was just going for Visitation but not to the funeral. Which I do feel bad not going.

Big funerals are nice but lots of people which good but it ties up the whole area.

I’m such a Hypocrite. Here I was thinking about not going then complain about the ones that weren’t there.

They had it on a Saturday so people wouldn’t have a problem with work and such.

Bunch of Government people not there that should have been.

Oh well I was there.

Well, there was this one funeral that featured my mother in law.  She looked great to me.

Personally I feel that funerals are a disgusting tradition.   Whoever started that crap should have been institutionalized.  

Don't plan to come to mine..... because there will not be one.

Didn't they start in prehistory by furnishing the dead guy with weapons, food and supplies that he would need in the next part of the journey? 

I've read that graves 100,000 years old show evidence of ritual funerals, and that the quantities of pollen in Neanderthal graves suggest they used a lot flowers  at their funerals.
