  1. You..? Make enemies.....? Nah!
  2. No, by my older brother.
  3. Eerie. I had this exact conversation given to me this last weekend.
  4. Looks to be a productive spot.
  5. I am by no means a fly fisherman. Although, I did watch most if not all of Hank Patterson's videos. What first interested me in it was a tournament that closed the dock of my favorite pond at the time. People came out and put tape up closing the dock. I figured it was for safety reasons. So, being the diligent 10'ish year old boy I was, I decided it was my duty to figure out where the danger was. Went out on the dock, everything was solid. We no longer needed the tape restricting entry, so I removed it. About an hour later, we were kicked off of the dock, due to a Fly Fishing Tournament. "A what!?" So the guy explained it to me. They had rings on the water approximately 14 inches around. Each one had a value. It looked cool. About25 years later, I got my first flyrod. Used it a handful of times, just doesn't seem so interesting. Maybe because it IS hard.
  6. Kind of on topic, has anyone used the "deeper" depth/fish finder?
  7. I have one called a fishing buddy. I have not been able to use it yet, but it is simple.
  8. My bucket list is really simple. Just one more...(It keeps updating).
  9. So if I snagged into an oak, pine, and a maple, would it count as a multiple species trip?
  10. Awesome report. It's not always about catching.
  11. Wow. That was interesting. 32 brains...? Curious as to what is a largemouth brass. Gonna join Ham or Johnsfolly to see if we can find one. Lol
  12. I don't have a feeder out this year. While out on the deck near where the feeder generally is, I had a white hummingbird show up the other day.
  13. My dad always uses the reference "way down yonder in the paw paw patch." Going to ask if he knows the song. Thanks Marty.
  14. Around this section of the State, most areas restrict single projectiles. You can only hunt with a shotgun. When it cools down a little more, I will take out my 10 year old and his new 410. I'm really looking forward to it. John, Young's Conservation Area has both opportunities. That is where I shot my first squirrel. Likely Lucas first also.
  15. I really think the price is fine. If I had a hair more time, I would be a player. At this point, it would be collecting dust.
  16. Stay positive.
  17. No words.
  18. That was informative. Thanks for sharing. The article below was pretty neat. Suggests using sponges in the live well to calm fish.
  19. Thanks, wanted to make sure I didnt miss alot of posts. Lol
  20. Has a jig-fest date been announced? I wasn't able to attend last year, would like to attend this year.
  21. Curious on colors. So, you mentioned you like to match the bottom. I agree with that, as you want to imitate the prey in said area. But, it is also well known that albino prey is often easily seen, therefore eaten. Brings up the question, why try hard to be camouflaged, shouldn't we be using lures that stand out? Curios to read all thoughts.
  22. Sounds like fun, but I will pass. I'm a bit chicken.
  23. I have been considering a set. Priceand lack of time fishing has kept me away. Thank you for posting this.
  24. I enjoyed them. I tell a Lot of dad jokes. Just ask my kids. They just come out of my mouth, no rehearsing those gems.
