Got some micro fish on it today. I caught many more. Had a decent sunfish hooked, he was really light in color, washed out like cold water would do. But this water is not nearly that cold. I didn't get to land him. It was a neat fight. My hookup ratio was not as good as when I use a piece of nightcrawler, or redworm. This was the "leg" of a trout magnet. Many people claim color has no affect on fish. Well, I started with chartreuse, finally lost it, went to a washed out pink. I did not catch nearly as many. I went back to chartreuse, next three casts, in the same hole, caught fish.

Few from this evening. Love that rod bend. It was not on a snag. The fly is a micro from Lilley's Landing. It.was the smallest I've seen. 256th oz if I remember right.

I know, go BIG or go home. That was my motto when I was skateboarding. I have been really enjoying the smaller guys, and I can catch more. I have been fishing smaller creeks with lots of brush, need to be able to climb through and bushwack so a smaller profile in and out will be a great improvement. I bought a sling pack to be my tackle holder. To my benefit, it has a hike that holds the tenkara rod when condensed.

It works. Little longer than I had originally imagined, I will use the extras for a smaller telescoping micro fishing rod. I wrapped it crudely with an unused shoe string. I haven't caught a fish on m uh micro unit, but did on the Tenkara rod. I am in no way trying to be a traditionalist in the way of Tenkara. I just wanted a rod to catch smaller fish in smaller water. this seemed to fit the bill.

Thank you nick. I bought the one you linked. I will be trying it this evening. I really like the fact it came with extra top sections. I may just use the top 3 segments for micro fishing. Pretty excited about my new toy.

Reel seat between indes and middle fingers. I now reel primarily with my left hand. Cast with the right. I reeled and casted for years with my right hand only. Played cast, switch, close, reel. Now, it's a lot smoother.

You aren't wrong. But, it is funny you mentioned this. I have 3 boys teaching navigation this coming weekend at Fall Camporee. The thing that gets me is how many people, old and young dont know the cardinal directions. The kids are alright. They just need people who are willing to sacrifice their own time, and guide them.

I have mentioned it a while back. Built it, didn't like it, redid the pontoons. Now some adjustments need to be made, but over all, I'm satisfied. I'll post a thread, my photos are still too big.

Had a few hours to play. Took out the newly built pontoon. The crankbait is a micro crank, I believe BilletHead called it a Snap Bean. The fly is a micro from Lilley's Landing. I know it's made for trout, but works for bluegill, and a micro fish, but I didn't get a picture.

This should go quickly now. I really dont understand how it hasn't. My interest is surely strong, I really hope someone else who needs a new toy sees this.

Well, I'm not familiar with the anonymous cove, not really interested. But the "tip jar" does peak my curiosity.

I'm gonna buy one, looking at middle of the road quality/ price. Just want to see if anyone here has one they want to get rid of.

Due to a schedule conflict, I will have to bow out. Our Boy Scout calendar was not updated, due to covid. We now have a camping trip scheduled for that weekend. If it gets canceled, as things have been, I will update my status. For now, I will not attend.

....you must not be a proficient caster. So from what I've read on other forums. But, truly, this sounds like a neat accomplishment or goal. I've yet to catch a goldfish. I do plan on targeting one in the future. I knew of a creek that had some but it's been over 15 years since I've looked for them there.

Not sure what to call them other than Micro Cranks. The add said topwater. Well, I'm a sucker. The add lied. For 10 bucks, I've spent alot more on alot less. But, they catch fish.

Caught a couple small guys with my micro crank bait I bought off of Facebook. My personal best gar. Also my first. Just could not find that 3rd fish. Not bad for less than an hour during soccer practice.

Had a good outing with Blake a couple weeks ago.
