Perhaps. I'm a "burn me once" guy that never gave 'em a second chance. Considering the individual that handed me a plate of (what he said were) fried grass carp couldn't be trusted to state his name, you may be right.
Then again you like goose...
That's the only way. No historical records of yellers in the White above Batesville. Kinda like the perch in BS, except that I like perch...

My best guess is bait dumps from striper fishermen that catch their shad in the AR River. I might have even been guilty of that back in the 80s-90s. I know I occasionaly found 4-6" yellow bass in my shad hauls, but I discarded all I found asap, waste of oxygen/space.
They're still just Moss Munchers. Nothing there to celebrate, nothing worthy of elevation. Sidelined by the benevolent Bullhead. Mocked by long-lived Buffalo as a flash in the pan, which is kind, considering they're not that good in the pan either.
As a kid in north Missouri, I took full advantage of the "drift" available on the creek and river sandbars, collecting Lake Superior agates, petrified wood, etc. Somehow "driftless" sounds like a casino buffet with no prime rib to me.
On a PC, the little blue x is right by the AdChoices sideways triangle, sometimes upper-right corner, sometimes lower-left. You might have to hover to expose it. Don't know about on a phone... I don't use that on sites I might actually want to type something.
The ads on this site can be removed. Look for a tiny blue x in a corner of the ad. Clicking the x closes the ad, but you need to go the extra mile by clicking "don't show me this again".
Ad blockers are great until they're not... lots of sites block the blocker, IOW, you can't have any pudding if you don't eat your meat.
They can make the ads display, but they can't make you look at them. Never, never, never click on any ad, even if it's something you want to buy.
Now there's something I could get in to. How many species can you catch using another species for bait? For example, say you caught a gizzard shad on a house fly, which you used to catch a striper, whose guts you used to catch a catfish... how many iterations are possible?
