  1. First aid kit with good bandages and tape, clean sharp lineman’s pliers(to cut the hook point off). At least that’s what I’ve heard....🙄 Mike
  2. You would not have been considered if you weren’t a playa; you should not get down over this. Lots of factors influence final decisions - often times the candidate passed over has a critical role and is too difficult to replace, or there is some influence other than qualifications that tips final results one way or the other. Mike
  3. I’m with you on this Wrench, I have a few RCs and the 1.5s in natural shad are money; not giving them up. Mike
  4. Every politician in recent times has engaged in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. That’s why I don’t care for any of them - it is always comes down to the lesser of two evils In election cycles. As far as 5 I have to agree with snagged - my community is adjacent to FERGUSON. Mike
  5. They are one of the gub’ments prime contractors as well, more than just broadband satellites getting placed up there. Earth orbit is starting to look like your outboard parts boneyard...lol. Mike
  6. I don’t like long shorts OR “sagging”. 6” for active wear and 9” dress casual. Mike
  7. Jeez. I’ve had guys horn in on me at LOZ but never that bad.... Mike
  8. I fished today and to Wrench’s point there are bass boats on most every spawning bank...and more big boats than normal - even on a crappy day like today. Water color is a nice stain. Dragging baits will get snotty shallow. There are schools of 4” shad stacked in any cove with wind but the fish are there. WT was 57 early and 62 late with bucks during the day and females moving in late in the day. I have had no problem catching a limit of nice crappie in the evening before dark...fahget about it in the morning with the frontal conditions this week. Mike
  9. Are they on main lake flats are up creek arms if you don’t mind sharing that info? I struggle finding them in spring. Mike

    What's Cooking?

I do all my own as well but I am allergic to pork and for that reason use beef. When grinding venison I will use a packer trimmed brisket or sirloin tip and do roughly 75/25 or 80/20 depending on how much fat is in the beef. I never fully thaw meat before grinding for the reasons you state. My only beef(pun intended) is It will never taste like pork - while I love, probably because I shouldn’t - but that is how I roll 😂. Mike
  11. I like most snakes, not those. Mike
  12. Rare Earth Minerals... Mike
  13. Ann. I’m fond of red.
  14. If he does, he does. Any time you lead an organization and that organization is not successful your job is at risk; or to be blunt, in real life losers do not get trophies. He puts his pants on one leg at a time just like you and I. Why do you feel he should be idolized or treated specially? His edumacation? The way he plays CYA? Or is it simply the fact that he disagrees with POTUS??? Mike
  15. I soak the filets in milk then toss in a 50/50 mixture of Andy’s red and mild before dropping in the oil - simple and delicious. Mike
  16. Media coverage aside, the recommended actions thus far have been based upon data and nothing could have stopped this thing from making it’s world tour. Does it suck?/. Heck yes! As far as leadership, if you threw every one of the pols in DC in a room and turned off the lights you would not be able to tell who is talking...they are all the same. I make it a point not to wait for guidance from the east coast... Mike
  17. I enjoy familiarity as well as discovery; I would let your mood be your guide. Just an opinion.. Mike
  18. My best days ever have been doing this in the backs of pockets with a slow rolled wart...they usually want It slow and Man do they choke it. Mike
  19. Unfortunately I spend too much of my time discussing COVID and containment over the last few weeks as my team(not me) is ”essential” and they are delivering to the hospitals in NYC, Detroit, Chicago, etc. This thing is no joke. Big cities with dense populations will be worse due to difficulties in containment. For Korea, Vietnam, etc., this is not their first rodeo, and they took CONTAINMENT seriously from the get go due to their life experience with SARS and a few other bugs. THAT is why they have been successful. All actions and restrictions have been data driven and are not the result of someone yanking something out their backside...we all need to take them seriously. Unfortunately, in the US Too many rolks(especially young people) are not. I only wish I lived closer to my favorite fishing holes....my fly boxes are overflowing and I’m getting the DTs. Mike
  20. No, it was across from The Lodge before the bridge went in....then “money talked” again and they were run off(past my youth, so not “us” this time) Anderson Branch... Mike
  21. Started at the 6, or Millionaire’s cove. Money talks, and we got run out of there.... Mike
  22. Some still do ..😉. Hawaiian Island, Chimney Cove, Lighthouse cove, Millstone, .... Mike
  23. They do stock them in your neck of the woods...the ruckus sure sounds like hybrids to me. I have run into them busting up top early in the year on Beaver and it can be a real hoot, but I usually have trouble finding them on the lower end of LOZ in spring but I imagine many are up the river arms false spawning. I will keep trying. Mike
