  1. Are you pretty much limited to catfish and carp on the river, or is there other species to target? I ask because I don't have a clue about that river.
  2. I wouldn't care if it was Forest Wood himself. I wouldn't hand over thousands of dollars until I ran it to my satisfaction, not his. "Oh it's great, Now give me $30,000.00 It's a steal" lol Sam Elliot said it best. "You would have to be a special kind of stupid"
  3. Huh???
  4. Johnsfolly, Have you been hanging around the medicine cabinet again? 😁
  5. I usually Check obituaries or divorce fillings an get the address. Then I drive by and see if there is any sign of a boat... If you have or know someone with a Facebook account. They have a pretty good market place.
  6. My wife said I could be a poster child for the ant-intellectual movement. She said I am one of the most anti-intellectual people she has ever seen. She's so so nice!!!
  7. I bought a 2012 Proteam 190 Tracker with a 115 merc (finest outboard in the world according to wrench) used in 2015 at a greatly reduced price. No regrets. It suits me pretty well. I haven't weighed the tongue but when I lift it. I get about 1/8th inch eye bulge and two small veins on my forehead. So I would somewhere around 200 pounds is a good estimate.
  8. Throw your hat in the ring HK. You just got my vote!!!
  9. Anyone heard any news about when Missouri will start requiring fishing permits again?
  10. Wiley they have to get the hours in anyway. Might as well burn that fuel showing people there tax dollars.
  11. My daughter works at St. Judes hospital in Lee Summit. Whiteman AFB did a flyover the hospital to say thanks. I have a video of it that she or a friend took on there phone. But it's to big to load on here. It was a B-2 followed by two A-10's Then a flight of four. It's hard to tale what they where. Maybe F-16's. Pretty cool.
  12. Yes, but 2/3 of wisdom in Arkansas comes from McDonald county Missouri. So were even. 😁
  13. I suffer from the same affliction. But I did go ahead and pull the trigger on Panoptix. I know everyone has an opinion on that. But my ability to find fish has not kept up with learning the technics and gear I have learned the past few years. You can learn all about the other stuff. But if you don't know how to really find fish, it doesn't matter. After a full 3 decades of being out of fishing. I just don't have the years left to learn how to do it the way I would prefer.
  14. I'm not sure I am buying into the whole meat crisis. There were two opossums, an armadillo, and what I think was a cat in the road out in front of the house yesterday. Freezer is packed!!!
  15. He was right about a lot of things. Dwight Eisenhower warned us about where our country was headed back in the 50's. He was pretty perceptive himself.
  16. That's an ideal I think we should explore. Weekend is supposed to be nice. We live in the country anyway. Just no water😒, and no people.
  17. Absolutely loved theses guys. Great music and great talent!!!
  18. I think it's the application that you use it for. For me a 9 inch is just fine. Just a so so angler who just loves to catch fish as a passionate hobby . And fine is good enough. If I was a guide and that's how I made my living at it. It would be an an investment in my business. I would have a big screen on the bow! BTW, I never turned down a lady for being fine!😁
  19. Last month a 9 inch Garmin was on sale and probably still is somewhere for $599.00 . The Panoptix Livescope was $1400.00. With a $200.00 rebate. So if you were ok with the smaller Garmin. I could put the whole thing together for around... hang on why I cipher my knots...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................$1800.00. Remember it's a hobby, not an investment. Unless your a guide I guess.
  20. Yea that's not going to work... The market is blowing up today. Tonight someone will cough and the bottom will drop out again tomorrow...
  21. Went to Cedar Ridge yesterday. Got there a little late. Had and enjoyable day on the water. Haven't seen Stockton that busy in a long time. Looking for fish on the shallow. Caught quite a few but all except for a 15" smallie and a 15" LM. Everything else was under that. Work a Kietech for a while without much luck and tried a couple of different spinner baits. No joy there. Getting desperate, whipped out the ned and game on. Even caught a 16.5" wally. The bite kind of died down around noon. So I went to working on crappie at a spot where I knew they spawned. After about 4 cast hooked up with a slab and lost it at the boat. I thought, here we go. Never got another bite. Seen water temps fro 57 to 63. Mostly Stockton clear every where I went. Weather was just perfect. I really needed that!!! Nothing really picture worthy. But I never grow tired of that bite! No matter the size.
  22. There was no accidental meeting of peanut butter and chocolate. Nobody ever accidentally on purpose or otherwise, stuck there chocolate into someones peanut butter. I believe this concocted by no other than Willy Wonka and Mr. Peanut to prey upon the almost lustful desire of the american public to have those to items severed together. "True Story"!!!
  23. That's to bad...
  24. Resembles my ex-wifes lawyer. Could be him. Could you tell if the spine was missing?
  25. That must be that new self deploying technology I keep hearing about. Frigging awesome!!!
