TJM, social media has spawned many more fishermen fishing popular areas all around the country at good spots. I try to keep some secrets just so there is a place to fish.
Tough finding the good old days with all the social media about how good the fishing is at a particular place like Taney for instance. It seems like all the guides and all their pictures lure tons of people to these places. I can understand why they do it. I know it is all about the money that can be generated with hit the like button. Fishing will never be the same as it once was. Seldom do I ever put my pictures on social media and if I do it is always on a huge body of water and not some little spot like Crane creek or the Narrows lol .
I had a great time down at Glens place the last couple of days. Caught a few fish ,had some laughs, stayed up half the night telling tall tales and managed not to get our butts kicked by his better half .I definitely ran some interference for him at times and not so much at others. Glen is a pretty good stick at fishing. Glad we are friends.
-I think we all know bait fish results in many hooks being in the fishes gullet. The exception might be drifting for catfish with true circle hooks .You might get away with fewer trout being hooked deep if you were drifting bait, don't really know since I don't fish for trout with bait.
