  1. Champ you stated it well. I refined it just a bit, "The real truth is that some folks just suck".
  2. All this discussion on pronunciation. I was hoping to pick up the BBQ sauce recipe.
  3. Those are the donors I was referring to. Most tourney fisherman (non BASS, MLF, Pros) incorrectly see their endeavor as business when in fact it is considered to be a hobby for tax. One way to tell if it is a hobby if you don't make a profit.
  4. I've fished many tourneys over the years and still fish a few local events. Very few make any money at the game, but they are extremely popular still. Not sure I will ever understand the mindset of the donators who show up continuously and give away their money.
  5. Must have been an escapee from the loony bin. Must be crazy to eat them.
  6. They will attract some of the old time big name anglers that are tired of getting beat by FFS and the younger crowd.
  7. Missouri should have reciprocal agreements with other states. In addition, if the states limit the hunting days for non-residents (AR - Ducks) then we should limit their hunters as well. Limited permits for NR then we should as well. Of course the MDC might consider such things if they didn't have the sales tax freebie.
  8. What have been you been spraying Wrench?
  9. A friend of mine says he hates everyone equally until they prove differently. Says you never get let down that way.
  10. JD push them off with a pitchfork
  11. Door County is such a nice place to vacation. Hoping to go back up this fall. Fished with Cast and Catch Charters and had a great smallie trip at the end of June.
  12. Send them back to Honduras and ban them from ever becoming a citizen here.
  13. Put some Vicks Vaporub behind your ears and on the brim of your cap. Used to work for us in Upper Michigan.
  14. I have used Mister Twister and filleted lots of fish over the years including many walleye. After 3-4 years of heavy use I replace it. Had success sharpening the blades as well.
  15. Looks like an awesome float
  16. The pitcher he used for the derby was very inconsistent. A better pitcher and he wins easily.
  17. I prefer to eat walleye, yellow perch, and bluegill ahead of crappie. Crappie is a very neutral fish that indeed picks up the flavor of the breading, beer batter, or old bay when sautéed in butter.
  18. Amazing craftsmanship. The old cafe was not a place for folks with a thin skin. Some truly good folks were on there. Get togethers were legendary.
  19. If I eat a channel it will be a small one. Big ones are too greasy.
  20. Always enjoyed your posts Bill. My wife and I really enjoyed visiting with you and your wife at the Lodge a few year back. Hope you will consider posting again.
  21. Take a metal stringer and tie off the single clip to some stout fishing line and then open the rest of the clips. Cast perpendicular to the line the rod went out and drag the stringer around. Found any rods that have went into the drink with this method.
  22. My Uncle Bill stacked cardboard in his shoes so he'd be tall enough to enlist.
  23. Good for taking your Uncle out. Love to get into some big gills like that.
  24. Nice looking ride
  25. Way Jealous
