Those are the donors I was referring to. Most tourney fisherman (non BASS, MLF, Pros) incorrectly see their endeavor as business when in fact it is considered to be a hobby for tax. One way to tell if it is a hobby if you don't make a profit.
I've fished many tourneys over the years and still fish a few local events. Very few make any money at the game, but they are extremely popular still. Not sure I will ever understand the mindset of the donators who show up continuously and give away their money.
Missouri should have reciprocal agreements with other states. In addition, if the states limit the hunting days for non-residents (AR - Ducks) then we should limit their hunters as well. Limited permits for NR then we should as well. Of course the MDC might consider such things if they didn't have the sales tax freebie.
Door County is such a nice place to vacation. Hoping to go back up this fall. Fished with Cast and Catch Charters and had a great smallie trip at the end of June.
I have used Mister Twister and filleted lots of fish over the years including many walleye. After 3-4 years of heavy use I replace it. Had success sharpening the blades as well.
Always enjoyed your posts Bill. My wife and I really enjoyed visiting with you and your wife at the Lodge a few year back. Hope you will consider posting again.
Take a metal stringer and tie off the single clip to some stout fishing line and then open the rest of the clips. Cast perpendicular to the line the rod went out and drag the stringer around. Found any rods that have went into the drink with this method.
