  1. Sure thing, wishing you the best!
  2. That is pretty neat, I don' see them very often.
  3. Some of the lakes where I lived where loaded with them. Once it got dark, if you tossed a crawler out there it might last 2 minutes before you got a bite, and it would be like that for as long as you wanted to deal with them, bite after bite. The bottom of some of those lakes must be crawling with them.
  4. What do the locals call them? When I lived in Mass., they called them "kivvers". Bullheads were called "Horned Pout".
  5. Are you wade fishing? One of these days I might give it a shot.
  6. Curious about who won myself. Can't find anything on the net.
  7. They look like they ought to be fat and tasty, but you never hear of anyone eating one (that is until reading this thread).
  8. That's usually how it works for me when throwing crankbaits. You'll find a stretch of bank where you get a few and then a lot of bank with not much going on and then you run into some more.
  9. Now that I think about it, they'd be going north. A long ways north.
  10. Good stuff, you are getting it done with that squarebill!
  11. I can't catch a bass on those things. Crappie and some really nice gills, but no bass. Hey maybe he really did see penguins, climate change driving them south.
  12. One of those grey, drizzly days where the temp didn't change much. 55 when I launched and 57 when I left at 1230. Found some deep fish, not bunches but at the end of the day, I had 19 bass and a big crappie. Biggest bass was a 16 inch LM. Had some good near keeper sized spots, but none hit that 15" mark. Drop shot with a Thin Senko caught the most, with a few on the 3.3 Keitech. best depth zone was 25-30 feet. I banged the bank for a bit with jig and crank, but caught only one 13" spot on the bank. Not many people out there today, saw 4 or 6 bass boats and zero rec boats. WT 63
  13. Good to hear the PT went well, and good to hear you are taking it seriously.
  14. As far as I can tell from reading the announcement, this change applies to the BPT. The MLF Cup Events TV show will still be the every scoreable fish counts format.
  15. Dang, nice one! Congrats Marty!
  16. Some great fish!
  17. It was windy for sure, especially Sunday.
  18. That's when a DVR comes in handy. I only watch it when they are fishing something locally, so looking forward to seeing them fish Stockton. I have always thought it would be neat to see a team even that pitted BPT against BASS.
  19. Come on down! The initiation process isn't too bad, assuming you can swim.
  20. Don't know where it gets before it is too low to launch. I've launched at Big M at 907 and it was fine. Something to keep an eye on if we have a dry winter.
  21. I hate to add another one to the mix, these rod discussions always have all kinds of different recommendations, but I really like ALX rods. You can call them, tell them what you're looking to do with it and they'll give you some choices.
  22. That's hilarious. But maybe he is on to something with the 'deer nest'. Build one by your blind and see if there is a deer sleeping there the next morning, should make for an easy shot. 😜
  23. Bassin I sent you a PM. Yes I would avoid Houseman too.
  24. Divine intervention guides 11th annual Toyota Bonus Bucks winners - Bassmaster - This is all I could come up with.
