  1. Yep. He needed to post the recording of that one.
  2. Its getting more spunk than Christ mas any more. If retail was not involved in the big cash cow, it will probably take over as the main holiday.
  3. Invest a little more money in the seat and not as much in the shade on that one and it would be a solid ride.....
  4. Typically, trespass in this situation usually involves hunting or drunken stupidity. I would assume landowners should be open to fishing and hiking in this area. But you never know.
  5. That sent chills up my spine. Snootfull in July or August evening bath maybe. Oct... brrr. Nice drone footage. Brings it into perspective.
  6. Gray area between Akers below for several miles. Trout ends and others don't seem to pick up from a while. Several wide shallow spots. Pretty float.
  7. Nice haul. My honey was very light this year when I pulled in July. I did lose two to hive beetles this fall, going in to winter with 5. They are heavy with stores.
  8. Nice northern corn fed buck. Youth hunting at farm in morning with Grandson. Rut is on here. Ran the cameras here at farm tonight when we got here. Pics all trailing, scraping, fighting, and posing. Looks like I have one good morning before rain.
  9. Or a well groomed Sasquatch taking a bath.
  10. Is she feeding a kid or the landlord?
  11. Probably what did it, it's a loosing gamble unless you try to make it a career. I have lost 2 of 7 this fall to hive beetles.
  12. How many are "some" bee hives?
  13. Nice report. Wapappello might be tougher. Low water this time of year.
  14. You should be fine unless someone confronts you. Its an identified stream designated for fishing, all landowners should expect the fishermen showing up. Especially since the MDC has flaunted it as a premiere stream.
  15. That's where I draw the line on my expenses for entertainment. No money for armadillo poop. Just keep shooting them. They usually jump straight up and run around for a while when hit with 22lr. Hi power stops them quicker.
  16. I would like to see that armadillo trap. Been killing one every day at the farm this fall. They are really out hunting for food. Finally saw a young one. Until last weekend, all I have seen were about the same size. Was thinking they just split into two new ones when they reproduce.
  17. San Diego is the wrong side of the world for any on here to know where to go. We are stuck in the middle.
  18. Yep, usually a pile of eggs in or near nest. Black or brown about the size of a big raisen.
  19. Most I see are on hillsides in the woods nestled in the leaves with their back to the wind.
  20. I love my 6'6" med light Lightening rod. Love it trolling shad raps and flicker shads for smallies. The long butt section does get in the way casting from a kayak or canoe. But it gives the rod alot of backbone fighting bigger fish than its designed for. You can brace it along your forearm to fight the fish with it well.
  21. Homeless people are the best watch dogs. Bring them something and they watch over your stuff. They aren't going far. We have had Boondockers at many places we have used over the years. Talk to them, offer them trinkets from time to time. Then you have a set of eyes. The ones to watch for are the ones you don't see. They come in and out and leave with your stuff.
  22. Not many fish Mark Twain. I tried to get info on it myself from time to time.
  23. Wind may be an issue
  24. Thanks.
  25. Crocs made a river shoe a few years back. Std Crock with a neoprene ankle and a cinch tie in back. Gravel gets in, but washes back out of the holes. Pretty grippy. Stayed tight on foot, even wore them over stocking foot waders in a pinch. But they work, drain when you pick them up out of the water. I am going to miss them when I wear them out. They were perfect for wet wading and reside in the back of the Sequoia year round.
