Enchiladas, refried beans and Spanish rice, Quick and easy build on the enchiladas. Like the ones my parents served in their Mexican restaurant. Inside these babies is venison barbacoa meat, onions and sharp cheddar. Tortillas were dipped in enchilada sauce then rolled up. Made a big batch and cooked two. The rest are freezing on a cookie sheet to be vac sealed two to a package for later. (I will do a step by step next time we make them). They are cooked in a slightly oiled skillet or griddle. Since the meat is pre cooked you just heat them up melting the cheese good inside and developing a crust on the outside. Pat made Spanish rice and I refried brown beans.

On vacation out west we always enjoyed stopping and shopping at Sportsman's warehouse. It they run the same way, have their one line and pricing I suppose it would be ok but if they change like Cabela's did I will be very disappointed.

Trusted no more, Stanley Thermos
BilletHead replied to MOPanfisher's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Good thread thanks @MOPanfisher, Here is a blast from the past Stanley Super vac thermos. Was my dads and as long as I can remember he used it. Anyone seen a yellow one? Works to this day great. Non insulated cup, warmed your hands as you drank from it. Cork stopper but sometimes hard to get correct size. I found a silicone one. Made by landers, Frary and Clark in new Haven Britain, Conn. Did some research it will date between 1953 and 1965 when Aladdin took over and moved the manufacturing to Nashville Tennessee . I cherish this thing. I see my dad every time I look at it. I have been through multiple of the green ones. Some work , some don't. This wide mouth one worked real good and I carried many of soups and stews to work in it. One of the made in Tennessee ones. The outer part of the lid, cup was metal. It rusted off and I wrapped electrical tape around it. Made in USA is the best! -

Do you have any 110s or 120s? Can be set in hole or runs with no need to worry about water in front. Can bottleneck down with guides or grass/brush. Good luck

How should I start this short story? How about this. Hey I got blood all over my pink crocks (Mrs. BilletHead) How many or your wives would say this and laugh about it? So we made an easy, very easy hunt yesterday morning. Nothing hard about it. So dry drove to the pond through the side of a winter wheat field with stuff in the truck. Three open gates in cow pastures and backed right to pond dam. Had my number one hunter with me. Did not even have to get waders wet. Just pitched out a dozen floaters from shore and was able to retrieve with a stick. As I was doing this number one was building layout blinds and grassing them. No bending over for me . Placed a few full bodies on dam. Only thing I seen wrong was a heavy frost and our hides were frost free. First group some circling around trying being picky. I can't blame them I would be too. 4th pass they were close and feed down only briefly. I did not call the shot and heard about that later! Circle back up and rolled back from where they came. My Bad... More groups worked a bit but did not like things. Still frosty and we did stand out badly. Frost finally left and things were looking up. Two down out of first small group and three more down out of next group. Time to take a quick picture and get out of there, Back at house unload and get them cleaned. No questions asked the Mrs. Knows the drill. She doesn't have to help and she knows it. I get this every time from her. If I help shoot them I am going to help clean them. Same goes for any game even if she doesn't shoot it. That's true love fellows. Got some good eats and fat skin and pure fat from the body cavities that have not been shot up. We both pluck and I singe the fine still attached pin feathers off them. We both go to work pulling off skin and she goes to work like a surgeon getting the inside fat. I will render fat tomorrow and vac seal meat. With this covid deal we will be alone Christmas day. It will be Sichuan fragrant goose.

Simple for breast meat. Best if you left skin on. Some sea salt, throw on a hot charcoal grill briefly both sides. Rare to medium rare. DO NOT overcook. DO NOT be afraid to eat waterfowl on the rarer side. Enjoy

Near catastrophy and taking my boy fishing 12/19/2020
BilletHead replied to gotmuddy's topic in White River
Dang Cody pretty scary but glad it worked out like it did. I'm liking your fishing partner. I know you realize how you are getting him started will pay off because he will be taking you in your golden years!
