  1. Those look very interesting. I’ve heard about that but never bought any. I basically dip and swish. I’ve even quit using the brush tap method as I couldn’t see it producing better.
  2. On a bladed jig or on an Arig is about the sum total of my success with them. I’m going to use some tomorrow on Stockton. If I could get some color advice it would be much appreciated. Right now I have white, blue and white, purple, coppertruse, and my version of alewife. Do I need to make up something else?
  3. It may be that automatic porn censor kicking in again.🤩
  4. I started fishing it in 1969 as soon as they closed the dam, though I do not profess to have knowledge about the crappie spawn, neither do I maintain those types of records.
  5. I’ve never cut one to make a Ned bait. They make TRDs for that. I use the Zinkers and Zeros for Shaky until they wear out or get lost.
  6. This agrees with you straw hat, but what do they know, they are only fisheries biologists who do this kind of thing for a living.😇 https://huntfish.mdc.mo.gov/fishing/species/crappie/crappie-tips-fishing
  7. I’ve never seen one or for that matter never heard of them before.
  8. I have a couple of good friends in management in long time SWMO companies. Both of them say the biggest problem they have is finding an applicant who can pass the mandatory drug test.
  9. I’d say unemployment and those little dabs of stimulus money wouldn’t make anyone rich unless they had some very low standards to begin with.
  10. You can do it yourself in the barn your wife’s going to build down the road.
  11. Generally speaking, sonar/gps units are all that are hooked to the house batteries. They draw so much juice that they dont need any company.
  12. I had about 3 hours to fish and figured Cape would be nasty so I went north. I put in at Hartley Branch and fished within a mile or so of the truck. The little guy was all that I could get a bite on. I wound up catching 8 with only 2 keepers. They were on bluff ends.
  13. You could always get one and tie it to a tree.
  14. Three feet high and rising... Yesterday 914.84. Today at 2:12 918.20.
  15. So do you think that this rain event will have any effect on them?
  16. Where is the boat you just bought?
  17. Thanks. One of the ponds to the north may be on the menu.
  18. I see she is up a couple. I heard about a lot of rain up the White arm but not a lot on James. So what does she look like? I have time for a short trip Friday but not looking for a mud bath or a bunch of debris.
  19. I haven’t had a largemouth that looked spawned out. I’m not even seeing fish that look like they have been making beds. However, the kys are full of eggs.
  20. Ssshh I’m trying not to think about that part.
  21. I’m betting that things change for a few days after the cold front passes and mile high skies and north winds return.
  22. I hat to have them around when I am trying to fish at night.
  23. I did the same thing in the afternoon. I caught 22 with 5 keepers. I fished jerks, jigs, spinnerbait and no love at all. I gave them from 12:30 to 1:30 then pulled out the Elaztech. I boated a spot on the first cast. My fish came from 1:30 to 4:30. I was getting hungry so I headed on home. PB&J was best but GP candy was pretty good. All of my fish were off the main lake close to secondary points. I couldn’t get a bite deeper than 8’.
