I fish alone majority of the time regardless of the time of the year and I fish year around. After my wife gets done with college I figure

she will be with me some.

Fishing is like Sex:

If you do it alone, then you don't have to worry about your partner catching anything!

Now that's funny. Reminds me of what I always say about drop-shotting being like solo sex: We all do it but we aren't likely to own up to it.

For 5 years I fished with my friend every Tuesday and Thursday. I fished with my wife all the other times. Since my friend passed on I fish mostly with my wife or alone. It's hard to replace a great friend and fishing partner, especially when you both think alike and enjoy the sport equally.

Fishing by my self is some of the best therapy I think I can get. Fishing with my boys is just great to see them start to love my passion. 2013-05-18071726_zpsb77b04ad.jpg

Fishing with my friends has turned into some of the most interesting adventures I have ever had.

Great thread!

I enjoy both fishing alone and with others but definitely prefer the latter. I've been fishing team tournaments with my youngest son for 6 years and the way we get along and work together as a team is easily the most gratifying and enjoyable aspect of any fishing I have ever done. As I begin to regret the inevitable slide into old age, one of the things that comforts me is the ability in small part, to pass on the love of fishing and the outdoors to my sons and grandkids. Also, as much as I enjoy catching fish, seeing a son or grandkid catch one is a high that's hard to describe. Most of the time, I'm uncertain as to who is the most excited.

Grandson, son, and me.
