Throw me a cheeseburger and I'm chill. 😊 Can y'all do a segment on fishing lunches? Going tomorrow and here's what I'm packing.... I like the way you roll with lunch. fishinwrench 1

I left the Mounds candy bar, and the pair of Little Debbie Oatmeal creme pies out of the pic.....so as to convey my intentions of a healthy balanced snack. 😂 MOPanfisher 1
Johnsfolly Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Pork tenderloin resting overnight. It got a massage with a rub consisting of five spice, garlic powder, ginger powder, and cardamom. Also with a little garlic and sesame oil. Will sear and serve it tomorrow 😉! rps 1

Seared off the loin and into oven until medium temp. Beets and a noodle side dish. Tasted great but maybe needed an Asian sauce. nomolites 1
BilletHead Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Something new to us today, While at my mother's Christmas party in the assisted living facility we were fed lunch (finger food). Dessert was something new. Guess I live a sheltered life because never had it :). Upside down pecan cake! Really good and the worker there had made it said we Will be getting her recipe. Back home I could not get this out of my mind and googled it up. Oh, good grief lots of recipes out there and Pat picked one. Let's see no cake mix or corn syrup. Cake no problem she can whip one up from scratch easy peasy. Syrup well let's see have some golden syrup. More google and actually other than candy making it is actually preferred by some for-baking applications. I added another spin to be revealed later. So built and into the oven it went in and then out, Cooling for ten minutes I added my spin. BACON! So, with some knife work and another skillet bacon bits were made. Nothing wrong with sweet and savory and I am betting most of you if not all have had pancakes and bacon and dipped your bacon on purpose or by accident into the syrup. Good, isn't it? Now ready for the flip and reveal. Hot job but Pat got it done, Now sprinkle on the bacon . Cut and time to try. DANG, I see breakfast in the morning, yeah. I have decided I now prefer this over pecan pie. Not as sweet IMO plus it has bacon. rps, bfishn, Johnsfolly and 3 others 6 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
