Bake them at 375 for 45 - 50 minutes. Make a rice pilaf. Pan roast asparagus in very hot olive oil. I got bored last night so I put some wings in the marinade. Roasting them today! rps Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Sometime Friday night some goblin snuck in my house and beat me with a large stick, probably a bat. It also poisoned my respiratory system. I have called in for a sub and I have informed the wife we are having canned soup. Pretty well describes the low level of cuisine at this house. Ham 1

Be careful with that. I missed three days of work last week (should have been four) and wound up at the Dr. Office Friday. Got a steroid shot and ten days of augmenten to deal with the absolute worst sinus infection I have ever had. Had I been smarter, I would have been in on Wednesday instead of suffering through another two days. The steroid shot was close to miraculous - felt a lot better Friday night and now the antibiotics are working. If it's bad, don't delay, mine was not getting any better at all. Best wishes regardless.

A lot of us get sinus headaches or sinus pressure, but an honest to goodness sinus infection is awful. I guess I had never really had one until last May. Mine hurt right behind right eye. Hurt enough that I thought it was an eye infection or an eye problem. I suffered through it for a few days and went to an eye doc. Spent $50 to be told my eye was perfectly fine. I was taking ibuprofen and pseudophed every 4 hours. I could tell when it kicked in and I could tell when it was wearing off. It really, really took most of the fun out of life. A few days later I got into the MD office and got antibiotics. I know medications, but I DO NOT self diagnosis / prescribe. 24 hours after I started the ABX, I was getting relief. I'll know what's going on a lot sooner next time. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Get a sinucleanse type product. Works well at the first sign of sinus trouble.
Walleyedmike Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 So a couple of weeks ago I mentioned making some buck board bacon out of a couple of pork butts. Last weekend I pulled it out of the cure and cold smoked it for fifteen hours. Let it rest in the fridge until tonight and sliced it up. Had steak, grilled asparagus and butternut squash for supper so was too full to sample the bacon! Ended up with sixteen pounds. Can't wait for tomatoes to come on! Gavin Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Will have to do buckboard bacon...that looks awesome! Get hit with sinus problems a couple times a year (deviated septum). Don't wait. Shot of decadron (steroid), course of prednisone(steroid), better antibiotics (Zithromyicin, etc, don't let them give you amoxicillin), and some Flonase will have you up and ready to kick tail in 5-6 hours usually.
ness Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 Been eating too good the last couple months, and noticed I'm trending towards the next hole on the belt. Time to fix that, so the cooking is gonna be different for a while. Not giving up all the good stuff, but gotta be smart about it. Today's lunch entree: Weather's looking good this weekend -- may be time to splurge on some ribs. Flysmallie 1 John
