Peas and tuna.  Have we spiraled down that far?!?   Quarantine is only a week old.

Not at my house. We are still having burgers and steaks and stir fry and tacos and there will be pizza this weekend. Tuna is never on the menu.

Yum! I went to the store today. Besides TP, paper towels, and pasta, I had no problem finding what we needed.

We actually scored on paper towels today! Yea it's the little things in life :)

I think we all ought to be thankful for lessons learned, at least here in flyover country... Hoarding (taking more than you need) has been blunted... not by the hoards mind U....but by The Management of Walmart, Hyvee, etc. stipulating you can only order so much..... (1 sometimes 2) of the critical stuff.

That helps everyone... Glad you got some supplies!!!!

Anywho...Thats smart thinking! It stops the fist fights and isle brawls for the most part.
Its not perfect but I have been impressed with our food distribution from what I have seen as it has settled into a new paradigm...
Likely it will get worse.. Hope I'm wrong.

I donned my mask tonight (I was the only one that I saw and I saw lots), went to Lowes to pick up fencing and T posts, then on to Walmart :we-all-gonna-die:
Sat there.... Wife Ordered food with Previous marriage name (We've been married 5 years :yarr:) (Thinking I might not make 6 :wut:)... (I dont do well at this :dizzy:....apparently 3rd time not a charm :lll._.:)

After unloading my Honey Doo shipment from Walmart :we-all-gonna-die:, My next door neighbor, ....
A Board Member of the HOA, just heard about My Fence for the garden (It was nice to see him try to keep Social Distance, I think my mask scared him)   I informed him that it is going to conflict with established HOA rules.. Told him I was expecting a hiatus from stipulations, due to the fact that there are certain current circumstances that could require some canning of produce this fall and the deer are pretty heavy... and that I willl address all complaints!  :faill:

Anyway I'm sorry .. this is a food thread.. My Dinner is a Screwdriver (vitamin C ya know)  It was an ordeal to make... It required a straight screw driver (NO KIDDING) idiots at Walmart :we-all-gonna-die:left the Audio lock on my vodka....BOTH BOTTLES! :we-all-gonna-die:

The ScrewDriver (TOOL) was a failure but it was IRONIC that I had to resort to that to make it!

It was strange hearing over the loud speaker about a liquor violation of some sort... I vaguely remember it mentioned a teen absconding with booty of some sort...
She was serious in tone but I must have been really focused on departing the lot. (never really sunk in till later)...
She prolly was some Security Guard in the booth looking at a monitor and had her big moment....... and therefore alerted the world that a "booze sensor" (Muster all the Rohirim), was rung from the westfold....all because some cashier missed this step because she was prolly a littkle wigged out or exhausted or both and not paying attention.

So the poor Walmart employee doing his job, triggered the alert delivering me my Wife's Grocery list and Vodka (I did not figure any of this out until I was I was in the death throws with the Audio Lock trying to make dinner)... Funny thing is He did not care or give it a thought, I didnt care either.. just wanted out of the Walmart parking lot :we-all-gonna-die:

Dinner was a success... I'd show a Pic but the Glass is empty...

BRB... I'll make another :disappearing:

My mom always made tuna and her own Salmon burgers...I’ve seen @rps make some awesome looking versions of fish sandwiches that made my mouth water.

I saw my father in law take a liking to the tuna salad I made the other day. Before I knew it he had eaten the entire thing, with about a half a box of saltines to go with it.
We still have the steaks on the weekends!

Dang it I was happy that FW didn't put up a pic of the tuna casserole.  There are few things in life I despise more than tuna casserole.  I truly like all the ingredients separately but together nope, and I aint afraid to admit it.  However if I can get my wife to do some mixing for me I am wanting to make some fry bread, or Navaho flat bread, heard it called many things.  Bi I plan to make mine with lots of garlic.  Supplies here ain't bad, have a freezer full of meats, big sack of taters, some onions  etc.  I also have a couple beef tongues I need to boil and smoke up.

I have said for years, most folks say they do not like this or that, until they have it fixed well.

Other than calf's liver, tell me what you hate and I will tell you how to make it great.

Maybe.

I can't do shrimp.   It's not the taste that turns me off so much, it's the texture.

Guess if I ground it up into a spreadable consistency and ate it on a Ritz.....

Love clams though, go figure 🙄

Since canned tuna may be a staple for us guys for being at home, where’s some good recipes?

We do like tuna melts on toasted English muffins.

Even before COVID we would have tuna casserole a couple times a month.

We have venison in the freezer. They haven't closed down our fishing ops. Maybe bringing more fish home in the near future. There is a closed season for the stinkin bass until June. They would make good fish tacos.
